  • Munnar

    A scenic hill station about 4–5 hours (130 km) from Kochi, Munnar is known for its rolling tea plantations, cool weather, and breathtaking views. You can get there by taxi or a private car — the drive itself is part of the charm, winding through lush greenery and misty hills. While in Munnar, visit the tea museums, take a stroll through the plantations, check out waterfalls, and enjoy the peaceful mountain air.

  • Athirapally waterfalls

    Often called the "Niagara of South India," Athirapally Waterfalls is a stunning natural wonder located about 2.5–3 hours (70 km) from Kochi. You can get there by car or taxi through scenic forest roads.     Head to Thekkady (about 4–5 hours from Kochi) for a chance to see elephants, bison, and maybe even a tiger. You can take a boat safari on the Periyar Lake or do a nature walk through the forest.

    Located about 4.5 to 5 hours from Kochi (roughly 170 km by road), Varkala is a serene beach town known for its stunning red cliffs and laid-back vibe. You can get there by taxi, train (with Varkala Sivagiri as the nearest station), or a scenic road trip. Once there, enjoy cliffside cafés, yoga retreats, natural spring baths, and some of the best sunsets on the Arabian Sea.
